So I finally went to the doctor. He gave me some drugs, referred me to a physical therapist and told me to come back in 6 weeks. I've got an appointment next week with the torture chamber, i.e. Physical therapist and I also got referred to a podiatrist to try and fix my toe. I'll let you know how it goes.
I did a nice hike in 1000 Palms yesterday for about two hours and the back was fine. Hiking feels good. I would credit the meds but I took them this morning and the back is acting up again.
Maybe I'm just allergic to work.
Sorry about the back. I've enjoyed reading about a couple of your hikes from 2009. Your photography is remarkable.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, do you remember where the mine is located in Magnesia Falls? I was trying to find it the other day, and as I hadn't been up there in such a long time I couldn't recall where it was located. I thought it was after the second falls on the right. I hope you can help. Carol
Carol,
ReplyDeleteThe best way to get to the mine is to go up the old trail behind Magnesia Spring. There's no water there but it's where the big mesquite patch is in the canyon. Once you clear the ridge, you have to start veering to the left. That's how I find it.
Here's a map. The Spring is marked by (A) and the mine is (B). Hope this helps. http://goo.gl/9QmCD
